It's got to be more comfortable to sleep in a bed than the cots and sleeping bags that they have while traveling. At least, Ras thinks so. Maybe he's biased, considering he's spent most of his life sleeping, and that, too, was in a soft bed. ]

I didn't say that. [Closes his eye again.] But I also don't think I want to test this place too much. If something happens to you while I'm asleep, I don't think I can live it down.

[ So protective… but that’s what makes him a good knight, right? Ras is satisfied with that answer, at least. So he reaches over to pick up the dandylion and put him in Ras’ own lap so he can pet the large cat. The mossfox rolls off Vildred after some coaxing too, but ends up just smushing himself between the space next to Vildred’s shoulder and his head. That’s… probably fine, Ras thinks.

Once the animals settle, Ras lets out a soft sigh. It’s strange. He’s… at peace, like this. He shouldn’t be. There’s a lot about this place he doesn’t know, and yet there’s comfort in his friend being here with him that he just can’t explain. He has his worries. The stitches on his face. The memories Vildred has that Ras does not. How they’re meant to get home. If Vildred truly lives in the reset that he’s from… Knowing Ras will fail the one he’s in now… ]
